Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens to information when you read this site on a phone, a tablet or a desktop browser. It is written in plain language because a privacy notice nobody can read is not much of a notice. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and ask.

Information we actually receive

We do not run accounts, so there is no registration form, no identity check and no payment page on this site. What reaches us is the ordinary technical data any web server records: an IP address in shortened form, the browser and operating system you use, the screen size your device reports, the page you landed on and the page you came from.

If you send us an email, we hold the address you wrote from and the content of the message for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.

Why we hold it

Device and screen data tells us how the pages perform on small screens, which is the whole point of this site. Referrer data shows which reviews people find useful. Aggregate traffic counts let us decide what to update next. None of it is used to build a profile of you as an individual, and none of it is sold.

Cookies and measurement tools

A small number of cookies keep your preferences between visits, for example a chosen language or a dismissed notice. These expire on their own and can be cleared from your browser settings at any time.

We use a third party analytics service that reports visits in aggregate. It sets its own identifiers. If you would rather not be counted, browser level tracking protection, a private window or an extension that blocks analytics scripts will all stop it, and the site keeps working normally either way.

Links that leave this site

Some links take you to a gambling operator. Once you tap one, the operator's own privacy policy applies to everything that happens next, including any account you open and any payment you make. We have no access to that data and no control over how it is handled. Read their notice before you register.

How long anything is kept

Server logs are rotated and deleted within twelve months. Analytics reports are kept in aggregate form only, with no way back to a single visitor. Emails are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no reason to keep the thread.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider and our analytics provider process data on our behalf under contract. Beyond that we share nothing, except where a lawful order from a competent authority requires it. We do not pass information to advertisers or data brokers.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to erase it. You can object to analytics measurement and withdraw any consent you gave. Send the request to [email protected] and describe what you want done. We reply within a month and never charge for a first request.

Children

This site is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect anything from a minor, and if we learn that we have, the record is deleted.

Updates to this notice

When the tools or the practices change, this page changes with them and the revision date at the top is updated. Substantial changes are flagged on the page itself rather than buried in a paragraph.
